-Adjusted settings for Aviationweather.gov to increase the amount of time before the hub times out
-Update to the wifi stack to ensure a more seamless connection experience
-Edited some of the words in the settings page to make it more clear
-Fixed a bug where if you turned only flashing winds off they would still flash
-Increased the allowable brightness setting
-Fixed a memory bug that would crash the map and force a reset automatically
-Reduced the amount of times map checks in to the update server
-Fixed an issue with maps above 270 lights that would cause a crash
-L6 legend code can be used if you want a light to always be white, example custom maps with a white under glow to illuminate the map
-Taxi Diagram projects no longer have to enter the airport code 3 times in a row for it to register
-SKIP code should no longer cause flashing lightning behind the map
-By request added the Mac address of the hub to the bottom of the settings page
-Aviationweather.gov where we get the weather information had a large update which broke the API we use to get the weather. We have patched this and all maps should work again after getting this update. This issue affects all maps and is a required patch.
*** If your hub does not automatically update please contact support so we can share the manual update instructions***
-Virtual legend feature is now turned on by default. Simply place the corresponding codes in with your airport codes.
-Bug fix where an out of memory exception would occur restarting the map.
-Settings page clean up, Y/N is now a toggle switch.
-Bug identified where a . instead of a , would cause the map to crash on startup.
-Lightning no longer freezes if more then 20 airports have lightning
-General code cleanup
-Default lights will be switching to Style 2 on all kits shipping 8/1/2023
-New purchases will no longer need to register their hubs, this process will be automated soon.
-Virtual legend feature has been added, if this setting is set to Y then the first 5 lights of the strand will become the legend lights. Light number 1 closest to the hub would be green, blue, red, pink, yellow.
Alternatively you can manually place the legend in your airport codes.
You can also put the legend lights anywhere in your airport codes as well using codes:
L1 = Vfr / Green
L2 = Mvfr / Blue
L3 = Ifr / Red
L4 = Lifr / Pink
L5 = Windy / Yellow
Example we have 5 airport codes, then the 5 legend lights, then 5 more airport codes.

-Quiet startup mode is now available. This will skip the test sequence when the hub is first turned on.
We had a user family member who is sensitive to flashing lights and would like a way to turn off the test cycle when the map is first started.
-WS2812 light compatibility for Pro-users is now live. You can use either ws2811 or ws2812. For ws2812 please use option 2 for light style in settings page.
-Flashing lightning setting is now available
-Flashing wind setting is now available
-Flashing icing setting is now available
-Sleep timer setting has been added, you can now have your map sleep during certain times. (Example while you sleep map will turn off to reduce brightness)
-Fill in the blank mode has been added. This will automatically fill in any blank lights in case an airport does not report weather. (Example a tower is closed). It is recommended to make sure all the lights are working fully before turning this on after building a new map. This setting is for those who want all the lights working even if it means the data is not a real weather report.
If your hub is stuck on all pink lights after this update you may need to update your settings! To enter setup mode plug your hub in, and during the startup sequence quickly unplug it and plug it back in. The lights should turn instantly red. Wait 30 seconds, connect to setup wifi, and then navigate to 192.168.4.1 and make sure all the settings have a Y or N in them.
-Max airports has been increased to a total of 300 lights (old was 200) Thanks Tom for helping test!
-Automatically remove spaces from airport codes, winds, and brightness. This was causing an issue where the hub would connect but then not download data.
-More work on wifi compatibility for certain dual band routers
-Fixed an issue where the setup wifi name would still be available even when not in setup on a certain computer chip we use
-Added the ability to factory wipe the memory of the hub. Type RESET as the wifi name and it will wipe all settings and memory.
-Edited a loop in the code to be more efficient
This is a hot fix for version 3.09 to address some issues.
-Red White and Blue wired lights should now work properly
(We added a test rig to test future updates on this combination as well going forward)
-Edited watch dog so if there is a reset due to network conditions it will do it quietly without going through the startup light sequence again.
-Fixed an issue where some maps would hang in the pink lights after startup. Maps should load within 3-5 min max after startup now depending on network conditions.
-Changed update scheme for Major.Minor.Bug Fix number scheme
Introduced "Watch Dog" which helps to monitor the wifi stack and if there are any issues performs a reset on just the wifi connection. We traced down the bug where maps would hang for a long time without updating their colors. The wifi stack was crashing silently but it wasn't triggering a reset of the full board.
Also includes general code clean up, as we begin to add new features we needed to optimize and reorganize some of the existing code.
Auto-Update is now live! Once you flash your HUB to 3.02 it will auto-update for all future updates. (This is the last manual update you will need to flash)
Fixed a bug with Wifi where not having a password caused the setup page to crash. This is now resolved.
Increased packet size, which allows Metar data to download quicker for Larger maps >50 Lights.
Added the update link to the firmware and website for new users.
Fix for the light brightness not saving and displaying correctly. Make sure you use two digits 10->40 are recommended settings.
Fixed the SKIP airport code so that it no longer displays blue when used. Should be blank now as intended.
Fixed the setup colors. Setup mode is now solid red on all LED strands. (before it was sometimes a zigzag of red to pink)
All pink means wifi trying to connect.
Pro User Compatibility
We have added additional compatibility for certain ws2811 Led for pro users. This update eliminates the legend bug for 3rd party Led.
Improved Error Handling
Improved error handling for those on non-stable wifi connections. This allows the hub to reconnect at a much higher percentage before forcing a hard reset to clear any errors.
Quicker Startup
We were able to reduce the startup time by almost 50%, this gets your map loaded quicker.
Retain Previous
If an airport fails to retrieve weather due to an error the hub will continue to display the old weather for an additional cycle. This reduces the unlight LED issue on large maps.
Saved Settings
Settings are now saved when you re-enter setup mode. This was one of the most requested updates. Makes trouble shooting new maps MUCH easier!
